My 9 month checkup was today.
So now I weigh 20.75 lbs and am 28.25 inches tall, both in the 80th percentile. Dr Ellis was really impressed with my growth. My vision and eyes are good, I got another hepatitis B shot, and my bloodwork shows that I might be trying to fight off a virus right now.
Over the next three months he set three goals for me. 1) start drinking my bottles from a sippy cup 2) more table foods - I can have everything mom and dad have as long as it isn't a choking hazard and 3) at 11 months start substituting whole milk for the formula.
A non-eating related goal that he set is to real work on my speech. He wants me to be able to say at least two words by my first birthday. So, when you see me next, let's talk. Tell me hi and bye. Tell me no if I'm doing something I shouldn't and tell me what things are like ball, block and dog. Let's get me jabbering!(the first picture is from my visit at 5.5 months, just for a comparison - the rest are from today)
My appointment was during my nap time so I passed out on the way home, holding my kazoo.
