Dear Sadie, my sweet girl, you are two months old today, and here's what I love about you...
- You calm down easily... Most of the time
- Watching you learn how to smile
- Watching you when something catches your eye and you stare at it forever
- Hearing daddy sing and talk in baby voices to you
- Enjoying you get mesmerized by things
- How your newborn outfits finally fit you at one month old, and sadly how fast your are outgrowing your newborn outfits
- When you raise your head to look at the world around you
- How your yawns make me yawn
- How your smiles make me smile
- Your noises: poots, sneezes, yawns, grunts, blowouts, giggles
- When you "squeak"
- Our laps walking around the pool to calm you down
- When you breathe in my ear
- Holding you while we swing on the porch swing
- That you are already independent in your own way
- That you love being on your changing table
- Dressing you up in cute outfits
- Taking tons of pictures of you, and you actually smiling for them
- How curious you are about your surroundings
- Wiping your tears away
- Wrapping you up in my arms
- When I know you're at the end of a growth spurt
- When I touch your chin and nose while making funny noises to make you smile
- When you look up at me while you're feeding
- The way you're confidently holding your head up already
- When you're in a "cozy" mood
- How everyone says how beautiful you are, and they mean it
- How you reach out for the monkey and the rings on your activity mat
- The way you make grammi and granddad light up when they're around you
- How great you are on car-rides
- How you've taken to a very specific paci
- The way you look when you're swaddled, like a little burrito
- When you smile at me, like you know who I am
- That you're on the verge of giggling
- Watching you grow before my very eyes
Love, your mommy
