The Sandersons

What I love about you at 4 months...

Dear Sadie, my sweet girl, you are four months old today, and here's what I love about you...

  • that your hair is still blonde and your eyes still blue
  • that your hair is getting longer, and you are still hanging on to your long Charlie Brown hairs
  • letting you "stand" in my lap
  • that you have already had your first snow
  • doing "super Sadie"
  • that you look like me more and more every day
  • how you bury your nose in the crook of my arm when you're tired
  • that you give me a big smile and hug when I pick you up from daycare
  • that putting my hand on your chest or letting you hold my fingers calms you down when you're upset
  • that Grami and Grandpa take more pictures of you than I do
  • that you've seen Santa twice... and you didn't cry once
  • that you are so good at daycare and all the women love you there
  • that you love your bumbo seat
  • when you don't cry around family and friends
  • that you know who me and drew are and you'd rather be with us than anyone else
  • how I could listen to your babbling for hours on end (but I prefer not to at 2am)
  • that you are petite, but have barely there fat rolls
  • zerberting you to make you giggle
  • that you got to spend lots of time with family at Dad's family Christmas
  • when you calm down if I sing "you are my sunshine" to you
  • that Alabama won the SEC Championship, and you watched the whole thing
  • that you are awesome at holding your head up and looking around
  • how you are so close to rolling over (to your credit, we don't put you on your tummy enough - our bad!)
  • that you are photogenic
  • that in less than a week of eating off a spoon, you can actually get most of the rice cereal in your mouth
  • that we are about to celebrate our first Christmas together as a family
  • listening to you play with your "crinkle book" when we are in the car
  • how everyone says you are beautiful and adorable
  • how fast I can get you to sleep by holding you in my arms
  • your smiling face in the morning and watching you stretch when I unswaddle you
  • calling you "Sadiebug"
  • that we make you a part of everything we do... decorating the tree, shopping, lazy days at home
  • when you look up at me and stare into my eyes while I'm feeding you
  • your infectious, adorable smiles
  • that you sneeze twice at a time, like me
  • everything

Love, your mommy

Haven't quite mastered....

eating yet. I've spent four months drinking my meals and now all of a sudden they want me to eat off the spoon? Doc wants me to start eating some rice cereal at night to boost my calories, since I'm such a petite little girl. Let's just hope more is making it to my tummy than on my face!

Merry Christmas

Img_0660

We celebrated Christmas today with dad's side of the family. I got to meet a lot of new people, received a beautiful outfit from aunt Sharon, and met my cousin Bryce that is only 3 weeks older than I am. With me and Bryce in the family now, there are 28 of us on the Hall side. I've never been around that many family members at one time before... Mom was scared I would cry a lot but actually I was pretty great.

This picture was taken right before our big group family picture.

Christmas has begun!

So Thursday night I got to meet Santa Pops and last night was my first Christmas celebration. Nan, pops, uncle walker and chris, aunt Candace and Kate, and cousins Nate, Tyler, Jamey, and Elizabeth all came over to my house to have Christmas dinner and open presents. I got some really great gifts!

- baby doll
- photo book
- houndstooth jacket & dress
- sweater and dress
- ladybug softbook
- baby Einstein dvds

I had a great time and can't wait to see more of my family this weekend!

My first snow

Can you believe it? It actually snowed already in Huntsville! It wasn't much, but just enough to say that it snowed... hopefully there is a lot more where this came from. I'm dying to make a snow-woman!
